December 4, 2017
What a glorious year 2017 has been! We have seen the Lord’s hand in the work here at FEAST on a daily basis. We are so blessed by His faithfulness and encourage you to remember FEAST with your prayers and end of year gifts at this time. The Lord does an amazing work through FEAST and you can have a role in what God is accomplishing here!
From the moment you walk through the front doors at FEAST, as you walk down the halls, you sense something different, something unique. You feel the spirit of God, of family, of love, of cooperation, of staff greeting you like old friends. A place where children are welcome and a crying baby is never a bother. FEAST has grown over these past 30+ years and continues to grow. That early mission statement of being a clearing house for home schooling information has grown also into a clear mandate from the Lord that our mission is to promote and support the benefits of parent directed education. We understand that this is a big and important mission. Without your support we could not accomplish the implementation of this vision.
Because of faithful families in the past along with current families, FEAST continues to work hard to monitor and track the ever changing needs of home school families in South Texas. With each change, the dynamics are altered. We strive to keep ahead of those changes. You can help us inform families who are considering home schooling, assist families in their educational needs, and promote parent directed education in your community.
You can be a part of reaching out and helping families, from all walks of life. You can help us equip them with the knowledge to make excellent choices in regards to their children’s education. That is the beauty of home schooling; it is not limited to a specific class, culture or faith. No cookie cutters here. Each family is different and they can operate their home school with their core values as their guide. You can help impact these families.
With your assistance it is possible to reach families who need to know about parent directed education
- Those where their current educational option is not challenging their child
- Families that need protection for their child who is being bullied
- Those seeking answers for their advanced students
- Those who have special needs, or children with social disorders
- Those that are looking for positive socialization for students and parents
- Families who want the freedom to teach their children their own values
- Those that would like to blend group co-op classes with their at home studies
- Those that would enjoy year round sports and fellowship with likeminded families
I would like you to experience the FEAST Campus and take a tour. You can see firsthand how we operate as a clearing house of information, as well as, a resource center for anyone who has educational needs. Your support allows FEAST to be a one stop shop. Offering “All About Home School” tutorial, counseling, workshops, special events, and customer service. The FEAST Bookstore allows you to see the curriculum before you purchase. Our co-op teaching program can help with core classes and/or electives. In addition, we offer competitive sports programs for baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.
Please help us reach out to families who may feel helplessly trapped in their current mode of education. You can help provide them with the options and answers to get back on track. You can help us by spreading the word about FEAST, praying for us, and by donating to help us continue to serve families and their children. FEAST has been helping home school families for over 30 years by teaching them: how to get started; how to overcome challenges; where to find what they need; and how to successfully complete their home schooling journey. These things are accomplished through orientations, counseling, workshops, special events, and customer service. Our teaching co-op began 17 years ago and has served hundreds of families each school year. In addition, we offer competitive sports programs for baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.
The orchestration of these offerings is no small undertaking. From planning to scheduling to posting on the website and setting up online registrations, our staff works diligently to provide resources for the home schooling community. It is not enough to offer these services now and/or until our children graduate, but for generations to come. When our home schooled children grow up and want to home school their children, we pray that FEAST will still be here, standing strong. Because of our desire to remain active in the community for generations to come, we are expanding and updating several events, our facilities, and our employee/customer safety. Current projects include new a/c installment, heightened security, a new look for the bookstore, landscape upgrades, and new workshops for the children. These are in addition to our continual betterment of staff training, staff procedures, and upkeep of schedules. Future projects include bathroom remodels, locker-room remodels, and classroom walkways and porches remodels.
So if you would like to see a bigger, brighter, and better FEAST tomorrow, please donate today! In addition, remember, all donations are tax deductible!
Help spread the word!
How do we keep doing what we do? The answer is simple. The prayers and financial support from people just like you who give monthly donations, shop at the FEAST bookstore, take part in co-op or sports or participate in fundraising events help FEAST continue to exist. We know that not everyone has the money to donate, but for those who do, it makes it possible for FEAST to operate efficiently and even offer new things to the home schooling community. Keeping FEAST sustainable through monthly donations of any size helps us continue to invest in the spiritual, emotional, and educational life of each family to whom we minister. If FEAST has been a blessing to your family, will you help by becoming a monthly donor?

Box Tops for Education
Box Tops! Calling all box tops! To date, FEAST has collected $1,389.40. These funds have been used to help purchase equipment to update the FEAST campus. Each Box Top is worth ten cents, and bonus tops are more. Twice a year (February & October), we send them in for cash. They all have expiration dates, so the sooner they are turned in the better. This is a great way to support FEAST, and it does not cost you anything.
The Box Tops can be found on food items (Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, etc.) and paper and plastic products (Kleenex, Ziplock, etc.) Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far.
Keep ’em coming!
