As a home schooling parent you have been teacher, mentor, nurse, coach and trusted adviser to your children. This is a complex world and as your children progress toward those high school years, you realize that planning ahead encompasses more than SATs and transcripts. Your job as a home school parent becomes more complex as you are called to provide your child with information on so much more than just academics.
No matter if you are just now planning those high school years or maybe college is on the horizon, the nuts and bolts of academics, record keeping, transcripts and admissions will be covered. If your child is on a technical path and working toward a specific career or exploring those options in light of their skills and talents, this event will provide you with some answers.
What about finances and family?
What about ministry and marriage?
What about skills and talents that translate to jobs?
How can I home school high school when I was not home schooled and have no degree?
FEAST admires all that you do as a home schooling parent and understands the challenges and weight of the responsibility that living the home school lifestyle demands.
We pray that you will be as excited as we are at our expanded lineup of workshops from the last few years of “Preparing for College and Career” event. We have invited speakers to address some of the needs that are not always covered at a typical high school planning event. We will have workshops that cover a full spectrum of topics on preparing your child for life, after all, isn’t that what your goal has been all along?
What about life beyond high school? God may be calling your child into ministry, will they be ready to recognize their life calling? Your children are now entering the stage in life where they will be developing relationships that may lead to marriage, need to know the basics in finances, managing the home, time management, communication skills, and so much more are all part of parenting a teen. Thankfully, you are in a caring community at FEAST where encouragement is never far away! Do not miss out on these workshops and spend a day getting the answers and inspiration to take out the fear of home schooling high school.
Parents and teens are invited to a day packed with information and encouragement to help you plan for high school and beyond.
Q N A session with speakers and door prize drawings during lunch break 12-1pm.
