The purpose of CHEAGC shall be to provide the opportunity for fellowship and exchange among home schooling families and those interested in home education through:
* Providing moral support in educational matters
* Exchanging resource and curriculum ideas to provide opportunities toward the needs of the group
* Sponsoring field trips and group activities to further the appreciation of home schooling in the community through education, community involvement, and media communication
* Establishing a network for communication of political and legal information in order to promote legislation in support of the parents’
primary and constitutionally guaranteed rights to educate their children
*Providing prayer support

Home School Happenings

Focuses on supporting parents and providing activities for families. We offer weekly park days and field trips.
Membership Fee: $20 yearly
We are a Homeschool field trip and support group for Christians on the NE side of San Antonio and surrounding areas. We get together mostly on Thursdays and Wednesdays for play time or organized field trips AND offer fun Fridays at parks!
Our Home Teen group is part of Home Team and offers teen activities every month. Our teen group is for ages 12 to 18yrs. We often have special activities for the teens at our weekly Friday park days too!
All members must have at least one homeschooled child that is 4 years or older to enjoy the membership – as most field trips are aimed at kinder and older. We encourage all members to join in on at least one activity a month when possible. We do require that members attend at least once every 3 months.
No fee is required.
Focuses mostly on supporting and encouraging parents with monthly meetings and one-on-one contact. This group helps families to find other KONOS users to co-op with. They also do monthly play days for the kids/whole family.

Come together with like-minded Christian families in a relaxed environment for fellowship, special interest clubs, student government, service projects, monthly field trips, teen Bible study, prom, graduation, monthly mom’s support meetings, quarterly mom’s night out, mom’s Bible study, yearbook, family directory, egroup. Meets Thursdays 1-4pm at Tree of Life Church in New Braunfels. Activities geared towards teens but whole family is welcome.

We offer a 9 week co-op in the fall and spring as well as support/encourage home school families in the Northeast San Antonio area.
Star Academy Class Day
Offers core & elective classes for home schooled students in grades 7 – 12, with a few classes open to 6th graders.
We meet weekly on Tuesdays at the Rolling Oaks Christian Church located at 7150 Stahl Rd. , San Antonio , TX 78247 . The church is directly behind the Wal-Mart at 1604 & Nacogdoches .

SHINE stands for ‘Supporting Homeschoolers In the NorthEast’.
SHINE is a non-profit organization designed to provide cooperative opportunities and a support network to families educating their children at home in the Northeast San Antonio, TX area.
We serve families homeschooling children in K-12th grade. Our group provides support and activities for all ages of children and teens as well as for our parents. We also offer co-op classes for our member families. Visit our website to find out more about what we offer for each of the age groups!
