The FEAST Summer Reading Contest starts on June 12, 2008!

What would summer be without the FEAST Summer Reading Program?

Children, earn money as you improve your reading skills. Learning is easy if you can read well. The best way to build that skill is to read.

Faith Hogan

The Summer Reading Program and Contest runs from June 12 - August 12 and was designed as a literacy program to encourage children to press toward a higher level of reading capacity. Educational experts show that the average child spends very little time reading outside of the school environment and only a limited amount inside the school room.

FEAST would like to break that pattern by encouraging children to invest the time needed to build their skill and enjoyment of reading. Children who read books from our FEAST Summer Reading List will be paid $1 for each book report submitted (with a maximum of 20 reports). Many parents have reported that the Summer Reading Program was directly responsible for the development of the love of reading in their children! “Good Job” to all of the Summer Reading volunteers!

The Summer Reading Book List, registration forms, and book report forms will be available for you to download and print below.

Faith Hogan, our Summer Reading Coordinator, will be available to accept book reports from 10am - 4pm, Monday through Thursday at FEAST. Students may submit up to 5 reports per visit. For more information contact FEAST, store@homeschoolfeast.com.
