Important Parking Issues

You may ONLY park in the FEAST parking areas and on FEAST's side of the street on Burwood. Please do NOT park in the parking lot across the street from our location. If you park across the street, your car will be towed.

CIVICS CLASS

August 21st, 9:45am-Noon

Arrive early for a “Meet and Greet” before the meeting officially
starts at 10am.

Please join us for another exciting FREE Civics class with Chief Justice of the Texas Supreme Court, The Honorable Wallace B. Jefferson and The Honorable Judge David Berchelmann, 37th District Court in Bexar County. We will also have other elected officials and candidates for the November election present at our meeting. Take the time to ask questions and to meet them. Bring your camera.

Complimentary buffet lunch will be provided. Please bring a most generous love offering for FEAST for providing a comfortable and beautiful room for our meeting with constant staff support. Without their support, these meetings would not be possible. Thanks to all the wonderful families who help to set up, clean up, and be part of the program. Special thanks to Kevin Jennings for his help wherever needed, and for his steadfast support of the Civics program even though his children have all graduated from their homeschool.

An important reminder, please arrive on time before the speakers. Dress is business casual. RSVPs before August 15th would be greatly appreciated. All who RSVP by August 15th, attend the meeting, and arrive by 9:45am (FEAST clock) will be entered in a drawing at the meeting for a gift card. One ticket per family. RSVP to Gale Sayers at 210-662-0588 or Hope111@aol.com. This meeting with Justice Jefferson has already created much excitement and interest. However, it will not be the same without you! Please call if you must cancel due to lunch planning and seating.

Let Gale know if you want to have a part in the program. Whole families are encouraged to attend and to bring your friends. We will provide a loudspeaker on the patio for crying babies or young children who need an outside break.

(Click here for more information concerning the Home School Civics Class.
The speakers' biographies and a review of previous meetings are available.)

Open Gym Night!
September 5th, 2008 from 6 to 9pm at FEAST

The FEAST gyms and the field will be open for all kinds of opportunities to play
Basketball
Volleyball
Football
Dodge Ball
Poof Ball
Goof Ball (huh?)
Wiffle Ball
Tiddley Winks
and whatever other games you want to play!

NO ADMISSION CHARGE, but . . . a love offering will be taken. (Linda Whiten and the FEAST Office still has to pay the CPS bill, you know.)
Please note: This is a FAMILY event, so don't try to leave without your children. (Besides, why would you want to leave a great fellowship time?)
Feel free to bring your dinner or snacks to eat on the patio while we watch our fathers figure out how to put together a volleyball net.
If you thought the Sports Orientation was fun, this will be even better! Don't miss it!

The content of this ad does not intend to misrepresent the serious nature of FEAST in any way, nor does it resemble any somber content whatsoever.

HIS Patriots

A teen community support organization

The first meeting will be on September 11.
The purpose of the H.I.S. Patriots teen community support organization is to teach our young people between the ages of 13 and 18 that there is a mission field right outside their door, here in San Antonio! The goal for these teens is to see them grow in Christ through service to those in need in our community. Home school teens and parents are invited.
The teen community service group meets once a month.

Anyone interested in attending us on September 11, should contact Candy Marek at (210) 494-2277.

A Life of Faith Girls Club

There will not be a ALOF meeting in August. We will resume the meetings in September. Look in your September Manna for the new date and time. Moms - Contact Linda Gonzales at lindag@homeschoolfeast.com if you would like to volunteer to bring refreshments or help plan a craft for one of the meetings. See you in September 2008!
